Lumira and Wanderlust Rush

Whenever I read Cereal’s stories I get a rush of wanderlust.

Beautifully written and packed to the brim with pastel shots of exotic places, the stories make me wonder what it would be like to experience these sights firsthand. Would I have eyes for the mango trees that ‘tangle with flowering shrubs in intimate embrace’ or lose my head completely in the vibrant heat?

Workspace Thoughts

Would you go for a two-seat workspace or have the desk just for yourself?

Bare Essentials

This room setup is stripped down to the bare essentials: couch, side table, coffee table, armchair, desk for two, bed and night table.

To dress the space up and to set a nice cozy feel, the owners added some framed artwork, buds and a soft rug. It turned out to be the perfect balance between what’s needed and that extra personal touch.

Stick It Up

This may be the simplest way to breathe new life into a space.

Get some gorgeous posters, magazine clippings, old event tickets, pressed flowers, really any kind of memory trigger you value. Then tape it, pin it, glue it on the wall and get ready for an inspiring visual jolt.

Austere Beauty

I consider being self-disciplined or self-restrained a quality. That is because I strive to be balanced and I appreciate minimalism and slow living.

And above all I love nature, its raw beauty, its inspired, amazing colours and instinctive symmetry.

There is some form of elegance in all stages of organic: in a bud, in a slightly withered flower, in solitary filaments laid bare by fallen petals, in prickly thistles.

Familiar Objects with a Vintage Feel

Don’t you just love it when looking through photos of interiors you notice some objects that feel familiar, that remind you of your childhood or of places you once visited?

I spotted this old enamel strainer and memories of summers spent at our grandparents’ farm came rushing back to me. That rack on the kitchen wall holding lids and assorted kitchenware, the buzzing hayfields, our sunkissed skin, innocence, timelessness…

Aether by Make

Heat waves crushing one after another into asphalt and pooling in our collarbones, heavy limbs resting
against chairs… This is a different summer than that of our childhood years.

To dial it down a bit, we can hide in the shades of whites and silvers: cool, matte, ethereal, pearlescent glitter.
