Wall Combo: Sage and Light Grey

While looking through some Nordic interiors I came upon this beautiful space for sale via Entrance. I just had to share this inspired combination of sage, white and light grey that helps divide rooms and define functional areas.

Go a Shade Darker: Petroleum Blue

What do you think about this bedroom? Pretty moody, but in a good way I think. Those delicate hydrangeas are just the perfect transition between the dark petrol blue accent wall and the light streaming in from the windows.

Minimalist Magazine Hangers

If you like printed paper in all its forms and sizes and are looking for a way to display it rather than just stack it in neat rows on the floor or on shelves, these magazine hangers may be perfect for you.

Bare Essentials

This room setup is stripped down to the bare essentials: couch, side table, coffee table, armchair, desk for two, bed and night table.

To dress the space up and to set a nice cozy feel, the owners added some framed artwork, buds and a soft rug. It turned out to be the perfect balance between what’s needed and that extra personal touch.

Faces on a String

This room with dark walls has the feel of a modernist art gallery, of an experiment in simple gestures.

It reminds me equally of the childish gesture of stringing beads and of an 19th century photographer drying prints in his darkroom.

Whichever it is, the effect is compelling.

DIY-Worthy Wire Mesh Pendants

Don’t you think these wire mesh pendants would make for a nice DIY? They would look really nice in any combination: in stainless steel, brass or copper wire, in a fine or loose pattern.

Wine Velvet

Love the palette used in this snug place: grey shades, wine and silver-greens.

Bertoia Diamonds

Could you have guessed that these wire grid Bertoia beauties were first produced 1952? They feel so much like 21st century design. They fit right in in any minimalist Nordic setting, much like another favorite of mine, the Eames chair.

Counting Sheep

An example of an original bedroom that literally makes one think of counting sheep.

Max.Tan Clippings

Would you care for these black and red pieces by MAX.TAN? They make me think of folded paper clippings, of a new and misleading form of origami, based on cuts rather than folds.
