Kitchen Stories: Green Hanging Ball

Time and time again I get to see how a single object in a vivid color and cleverly placed vases of buds and greens can uplift an otherwise monochrome space.

A case in point is this kitchen, where the dominating color scheme is black and white.

Had there not been the green hanging glass pendant or the plants, the space would have looked too stern and clinical. But with this added spark of life we are convinced to stay on for tea.

Simple and easy to recreate, don’t you think?

Other examples of airy and balanced apartments in black and white that still look inviting here and here.

The black poster against the white wall also creates a nice contrast. This effect is cleverly used also in this space.
